Leigh and Mike Harting opened the brewery in December 2013 with head brewer Ty Weaver ... the name comes from the question of how to put their three daughters through college. It started in a 1,600 square foot tasting room and now fills a large warehouse the brewery says serves over 250,000 guests a year. I Love the Burg calls it the biggest brewery in St. Pete, with more than 40 taps of beer, cider, hard seltzer and sangria. This is the original location; a Clearwater Beach taproom and an airport bar came in 2022.
A French wine bistro a block off Beach Drive with a menu that changes by season, from French onion soup and foie gras torchon to tuna carpaccio and beef tartare. It pours nearly 100 wines chosen by sommeliers and builds charcuterie boards to order.
A family-owned brewery in the Warehouse Arts District that opened in 2020 and added a barbecue kitchen and cocktails. Its concerts have moved into a dedicated event space called Bayboro Live. I Love the Burg points to the big beer garden.
Caddy's calls this one 'The Original', the beach bar on Sunset Beach that the Madeira Beach and Indian Shores rooms grew from. Helene's surge in September 2024 buried it in sand and debris and Milton tore the roof days later; owner Marcus Winters told Tampa Bay 28 'It was like a warzone.' The building was gutted, lifted and rebuilt to current code while the bar ran out of a big tent under a Treasure Island emergency measure Winters credits with saving the business. It reopened in the rebuilt building with a ribbon cutting about 18 months after the storms, around 1 April 2026, with roughly 135 staff back at work.

Twenty taps of beer, wine and kombucha and a stage that the brewery says has full bands most nights of the week. Sister kitchen Kraken Joe's Pizza cooks in an oak-fired brick oven on site. I Love the Burg notes the covered and uncovered seating and the arcade games.
A grill and a beach bar on the sand, attached to a hotel on Gulf Boulevard, with seafood, tacos and frozen drinks and live music every day by its own account. I Love the Burg recommended it to parents for the soft sand, hammocks and children's options on the menu. A 2026 visitor review seen in search results says it reopened in February 2026 after hurricane damage.
A two-story brewery, taproom and beer garden on Central that concentrates on lagers and pilsners, poured from European-style serving tanks. The second-floor terrace looks down over the beer garden. Food comes from LALA St. Pete, and the Brew Good program sends proceeds to local causes such as CASA Pinellas.
Gulfport's brewery turned six in June 2026 and threw its second annual Beerfest to mark it. Three of its beers medaled at the 2026 Best Florida Beer competition, and in August it released Sea Breeze, a beer honoring local newspaper history back to 1886. There is live music in the biergarten, a Tuesday run club and Thursday trivia. Since June 2026 it also opens at 9am as a breakfast cafe pouring Black Crow Coffee.
The building went up in 1925 and has been a bar for almost 100 years ... Walt's Place, the Swamp Club, Gulfport on the Rocks for 40 years, then Salty's, before Hurricane Eddie's moved in late in 2020. St. Pete Rising reports it held one of the first liquor licenses in Pinellas County. Helene flooded it in September 2024 and it stayed shut for 16 months, serving on the patio from St. Patrick's Day 2025 while the walls, floors, ceilings and restrooms were rebuilt. It reopened on March 12, 2026 with live music Friday to Sunday, poker, bingo, karaoke and a Thursday locals night.
The beach bar of the Beachcomber resort, with a wooden deck, paved walks down to the sand and two stages ... an open-air one by day and an indoor one late. Southern Living put it on its list of the 12 best Florida beach bars in 2024. I Love the Burg's May 2026 beach bar guide notes it had recently reopened. Thursday is Boots & Bikinis night from 8pm.
A locals' beach bar across the street from Caddy's, open since 1982, with live bands seven days a week across rock, blues, reggae and R&B. The kitchen turns out pub food ... sandwiches, wings and a $3 cheeseburger. It is 21 and over, and it was back in business well ahead of its neighbor after the 2024 storms.
The brewery calls itself the first and only microbrewery on St. Pete Beach. It runs a 5-barrel system with 18 or more house beers and also distills vodka, rye, bourbon and agave spirits on site. There is a scratch kitchen, an outdoor stage and a patio where dogs and kids are welcome.
A south-side fish camp with a backyard tiki bar and more than 15 fish preparations, by its own count. I Love the Burg describes the big courtyard of palms and nautical odds and ends where children build shell mounds while the grown-ups eat, with live music in the evening. The owners leased the old Coquina Meat Market across the street for a dessert and wine room, and the smoked wings went into Tropicana Field's food hall.
The bar Gulfport measures storms by ... after Hurricane Helene The Gabber's publisher wrote a note titled 'The O'Maddy's Index', and during Idalia in 2023 police closed it because the corner was under water. It faces the Gulfport Pier, has live music every day and welcomes dogs at the outside tables. In March 2026 it opened a second floor, a long-planned expansion that The Gabber says came after 20 years in business.
A walk-up counter on the sand at Pass-a-Grille, open from 7 a.m. until half an hour after sunset. An old ship's bell beside the seawall is rung every evening as the sun goes down, and the bell came through the storms intact. Helene and Milton pushed sand and saltwater through the kitchen and it was closed for about four months, reopening in early 2025. Live music runs Friday to Sunday. A second counter operates at 6850 Beach Plaza.
PAW is the dog-themed brewery ... milk bones on the tables, charity nights for animal rescues and a Milk Bone Stout on tap. Brewers Matthew Brown and Dennis Decker started it, its Sweet Stout took silver at the Great American Beer Festival, and it turned 10 in May 2026. The site has a barrel aging room, a tap room and a beer garden with a food truck. On October 1, 2026 it soft-opened a second room, PAW Taps & Tails, in the former Dissent Craft Brewing building at 5518 Haines Rd N, welcoming dogs and cats.
Opened in December 2024 by Jason Ruhe and Hope Montgomery, who also own Brick and Mortar Kitchen and Wine Bar downtown and Sea Worthy Fish + Bar in Tierra Verde. Ruhe shares the kitchen with Jason Cline, formerly head chef at Birch and Vine. The menu runs to 20-plus small plates, charred octopus, Peruvian-style ceviche and two paellas, around a circular bar with a small stage for live Latin music. David Fischer of Zazoo'd designed the room.
A hurricane-themed tavern that opened on September 25, 2024 ... one day before Hurricane Helene hit Gulfport. It is three rooms in one: a main dining room, The Crow's Nest rooftop bar over Boca Ciega Bay and BARk, a dog-friendly tiki bar. Artist Derek Donnelly later painted a 'Guardian of Gulfport' mural on the building about the town getting through Helene and Milton. Live music runs Tuesday to Sunday.
A neighborhood piano bar in Grand Central with live music, a relaxed feel and bar seats out on the sidewalk. I Love the Burg lists it among the city's gay bars.
A tiki bar and restaurant on the water at the St. Pete end of the Gandy Bridge, tagged by its own site with #comebylandorbysea. Suncoast Family Fun puts it first on its Pinellas list because tables sit on the sand where children can dig, and an old boat ramp lets them play at the water's edge with a table beside it. The own site books weddings, rehearsal dinners and birthdays under the tikis.
The Oyster Bar spent 24 years at 249 Central Avenue downtown, from 1999 until it closed there in 2023. Owner Josh Cameron of Craft Hospitality Group brought it back on 14 October 2025 in a new 3,200 square foot Grand Central room with 120 seats, 22 of them outside. The old signatures came with it ... buffalo shrimp, bacon parmesan-crusted grouper and raw oysters, with a dollar-oyster 'Aphrodisiac Hour' from 4 to 5pm. The site now names Daniel Walter as executive chef.
